About Shirley & Infinite Yoga

I set up Infinite Yoga in 2016 and I currently run one-to-one and group practices mainly in and around Kent and East Sussex.

I was first introduced to yoga in the 1980’s through my gym – after circuit training! My first teacher was Sylvia Gibbons a very experienced BWY teacher and she remains one of my much-valued teachers today.

I also learned meditation and relaxation techniques which was extended into a Transcendental Meditation (TM) practice.

The challenges of working in the City and finding a practice that fitted in with my commute meant that I had to change, Sylvia recommended Lin Bridgeford of Bios Yoga. Lin is a Senior Teacher Trainer and has years of experience in dance and yoga. I joined Lin’s sessions and practice the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (AVY) Primary and Secondary Series.

I continue to work with all my teachers as much as possible, especially Lin with whom I completed my Teacher Training and also continue to do advanced training and regular practice.

There are lots of amazing teachers and trainers in yoga and a great world-wide yoga community. I’ve been lucky enough to attend workshops and more with:
